About the Artist

I am an impressionistic oil painter whose work manifests from expressive brushwork, texture and use of color.

My life on our Virginia farm and second home in Florida greatly influence my subject matter. Our rescue animals that include horses, pigs and cows are often my muses, but I am also available by commission to capture your love of your pets. I really enjoy painting animals and my greatest challenge ? the thing I really love ? is trying to capture and evoke their personalities.

My love of flowers, specifically peonies and hydrangeas, provide much inspiration in our garden as well as my art. I enjoy exploring color and expressive brushwork to enhance their natural beauty. Southern landscapes have always fascinated me. Old barns, rolling hills and coastal marshes are amongst my favorites scenes to capture and really enjoy how light and shadow can be expressed in vibrant color.
